The Park

Jeremy King's grand café for Bayswater occupies the curved corner of the new Park Modern building, where Bayswater Road meets Queensway, its windows facing Kensington Gardens across the street. The dining room is styled as mid-century Manhattan: warm limba wood panelling, thirty corner tables and booths in sunset-orange leather, and a run of cylindrical pendant lights under a coffered ceiling. The kitchen serves an all-day contemporary American menu with an Italian slant, and the adjoining Bar at The Park runs a cocktail list built on pre-Prohibition classics alongside American and Italian wines.

Downstairs, in utter privacy, the Manhattan Room seats twelve around a single marquetry table. African limba panelling lines the walls, hung with a collection of photographs by Horst P. Horst, and the coffered ceiling carries a hand-painted mural of Central Park by the scenic artist Michael May. The room is available for breakfast, lunch or dinner seven days a week and works equally well for a small meeting, with a television screen and aux connection built discreetly into the panelling.

The Park opened in July 2024, joining The Wolseley and The Delaunay in Jeremy King's roster of London grand cafés, and keeps to their house register of polished wood and brass fittings — a short walk from both Notting Hill Gate and Marble Arch.
