Bluebird City

Bluebird City is the Bluebird family's expansion beyond Chelsea, opened in March 2025 inside the boutique South Place Hotel near Liverpool Street and Moorgate. The all-day restaurant and bar carries the same seasonal, modern British approach as its King's Road original — Executive Head Chef Rob Grist reworks a handful of Bluebird's own classics, including the duck salad, alongside newer additions such as Cornish white crab toast and a charcoal-cooked tomahawk.

The dining room runs parquet floors and a long marble-topped communal table past a mirrored, plant-hung bar, with a run of framed pop-art animal prints giving the space its own identity. The bar, with its rounded studded stools and terrazzo-topped tables, works as a destination in its own right rather than a waiting area for the restaurant. Outside, a covered terrace under blue Bluebird parasols runs along the pavement, planted and screened from the street.

The restaurant and bar both take exclusive hire, and the terrace can be booked separately for group drinks. Private dining and events run through the venue's own team, covering anything from a working breakfast to a full evening buyout.
