/ About

The Sloane Club has stood on Lower Sloane Street since 1922, when it was founded to house ex-service women returning from the First World War. A £20m restoration reopened it in 2025 as a contemporary members' club that keeps that history close: the Demob Bar nods to demobilisation after both wars, and The Wren takes its name from the club's long association with the Women's Royal Naval Service. Across the 18th-century building sit dining rooms, bars, a wellness suite, workspaces and member bedrooms.

The rooms each have their own character. Venus is the signature dining room, named for the statue in Sloane Square, with a goddess hand-carved into the walls beneath an oval gilded chandelier and a glass skylight. LILA is the showpiece for larger gatherings, a verdant glass-roofed conservatory with a retractable roof, its own kitchen, a bar and a chef's table. Smaller private rooms, The Lady in Black, The Wren and The Ranelagh, suit more intimate seated dinners.

For a private event with a DJ, the club offers a clutch of options that rarely overlap with the usual hotel-ballroom circuit. LILA and Venus take the larger standing receptions, the Demob Bar works for drinks-led nights, and the panelled private rooms hold tighter dinners. Sloane Square is a few steps away, and the whole place is built around discretion.
