/ About
The Mirror Bar is the small, dark room off The Landmark's atrium, and the hotel is candid about wanting it to stay a secret. Its walls are given over to mirrors: tall antiqued panels behind the banquettes, gilt-ringed convex discs suspended in front of them, and a mirrored overmantel above the back bar under a plaster frieze of cherubs. Blue and grey velvet tub chairs sit around low marble tables, lit by table lamps rather than overhead light.
The drinks list is the reason to come. Cocktails are built around a mood rather than a spirit category, and the room trades late for a hotel bar, to one in the morning from Tuesday through Saturday. It opens at five on weekdays and four at the weekend, and closes on Mondays. There is a covered terrace alongside, with marble tables set against the stone and brick of the building and the traffic of Marylebone Road beyond the glass.
The bar takes walk-ins only, which is part of its character, but it does host private groups: exclusive enquiries are taken for up to fifty guests through the restaurant reservations team.
