Maya Hi Fi

Maya is the hi-fi agave bar tucked beneath Cavita, Adriana Cavita's Mexican restaurant on Wigmore Street. Reached through a back entrance off a cobbled side-street, it is a dark, low-lit subterranean room built around a custom sound system, with rare mezcal, tequila and a mezcal-led cocktail list pouring from behind the bar.

The room hosts extended weekend listening sessions with a rotating cast of local and international selectors, so the sound system and the music programming are central to the experience rather than incidental. Drinks run from a hibiscus-tinged margarita to a jalapeño paloma and a mezcal espresso martini.

Available for private hire, Maya suits intimate, sound-led gatherings where a DJ or selector and a serious system carry the night. It operates Tuesday to Saturday from early evening until after midnight.
