/ About

The Midland Grand Dining Room occupies the room that opened in 1873 as the Dining & Coffee Room of Sir George Gilbert Scott's Midland Grand Hotel, now the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel on Euston Road. The developer and hotelier Harry Handelsman opened the restaurant in 2023 with chef Patrick Powell, whose menu built on French cooking with British fish and meat. In February 2025 Victor Garvey took over the kitchen, with French tasting menus of seven and twelve courses beside an à la carte.

The Parisian architect Hugo Toro reworked the interior around the Victorian room. Ornate plasterwork ceilings and tall windows frame low-lit tables, a patterned carpet and brass chandeliers made from 3,000 individual pipes of glass. Taken whole, the dining room seats 86 or holds a standing reception of 150, and a section of it takes a group of up to 40.

Off the main room, the private dining room seats up to 16 at a single long table beside a stone fireplace. The Chef's Table seats eight inside the open kitchen, with a front-row view of the cooking.
