The Lookout occupies the 50th floor of 8 Bishopsgate, the WilkinsonEyre tower that opened over the City in 2023. By day it is the building's free public viewing gallery, a timber-lined room wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass looking west and south across St Paul's, the river and the Shard. In the evening it closes to the public and the floor is given over to private hire. A dedicated lift runs from the street to Level 50, so guests arrive without crossing an office lobby.

The event space runs to 1,851 square feet and takes 130 for dinner or 250 standing, with room for a dance floor, a stage and a DJ. Four executive suites sit along the same floor: Spire, Peak, Horizon and Summit, used singly for private dining and meetings, or opened into one another for a reception of 70. Rhubarb Hospitality Collection manages the whole floor and cooks in house, as it does at Sky Garden across the City.

Lower in the building, the Think Tank auditorium holds 150 on its retractable rows and clears to a standing reception for 100, with a breakout floor of meeting rooms beside it. Between them the two levels cover a launch dinner, a gala and a conference without leaving the building.

The viewing gallery itself, 1,851 square feet on Level 50, glazed floor to ceiling on two sides under a slatted timber ceiling. It seats 130 at round or long tables, holds 250 for a canapé reception, and takes 80 for a seated dinner with a dance floor, a stage and a DJ in the same room. The walls into the executive suites can be removed to extend it.

Think Tank Auditorium

A timber-lined auditorium in the lower floors of the building, holding 150 on retractable tiered seating. With the rows retracted it takes 75 at round tables or 100 standing, and it opens onto a reception area and a breakout floor. Used for conferences and seminars as well as talks, recordings and performances.
