/ About
The Five Fields is Taylor Bonnyman's modern British restaurant on Blacklands Terrace, a quiet Chelsea side street. It takes its name from John Rocque's 18th-century map of Georgian London, which labels this stretch of land 'The Five Fields'. The kitchen holds a Michelin star, first awarded in 2017, and every menu starts from what the restaurant's own kitchen garden in Sussex is producing.
The main dining room seats 40 at round, linen-dressed tables, set against pale fabric walls, large contemporary canvases and panels of painted climbing leaves. Head chef Marguerite Keogh has run the kitchen beside Bonnyman since the restaurant opened in 2013.
Upstairs, the Rocque Room is the private dining room: a first-floor space in warm, muted tones, arranged around a single oval table for up to ten guests, with windows over the surrounding Chelsea streets. A panelled lounge next door takes the arrival drinks before dinner, and the party after it.
