/ About

The Dining Room is the Michelin-starred restaurant of The Goring, London's last family-owned five-star hotel, set on Beeston Place a short walk from Buckingham Palace. Russell Sage Studio reimagined the room in 2024: green chinoiserie walls and hand-crafted Fromental coverings, a crystal chandelier, gilded mirrors and a deep red patterned carpet, with a scattering of painted monkeys that keeps the grandeur from taking itself too seriously. Executive Chef Graham Squire cooks classical British food to a single MICHELIN star, from the room's long-standing Eggs Drumkilbo to dry-aged Aylesbury duck.

For a private event the restaurant takes exclusive hire, seating up to 44 guests or holding 70 for a reception, run by the hotel's events team with the same kitchen and service behind them. The Goring's largest private space, the garden-facing Garden Room, opens through a retractable glass wall onto a planted sunken garden and carries screens and projection for launches, dinners and celebrations.

The Goring has been a discreet Belgravia fixture for over a century, familiar to the royal set and chosen by the Princess of Wales the night before her wedding. It remains a considered address for a private dinner or reception close to the palace, where the room does much of the talking.
