Sycamore at Middle Eight

Sycamore is the restaurant and bar at Middle Eight, the hotel on Great Queen Street built on the site of Kingsway Hall, once a celebrated recording venue. The kitchen cooks contemporary Italian food for sharing: hand-rolled pasta, meats from the grill, fresh breads and cicchetti. The bar pours signature cocktails, Italian aperitivi and a considered list of wines.

The room is relaxed by day and livelier after dark. From Thursday to Saturday, DJs play vinyl and Italian disco at the bar.

For a private event, the bar and restaurant can be taken together for a standing reception of 350. Taken apart, the restaurant seats 110 on exclusive hire or holds 150 for a reception, and the bar takes 180. Semi-private areas hold 70 in the restaurant and 60 in the bar, and the hotel's events team tailors the menus to the occasion.
