Radio Rooftop

Radio Rooftop sits on the tenth floor of ME London on the Strand. Upmarket Leisure owns and runs it, and it reopened in the summer of 2024 after a refurbishment led by the restaurant designer Bernard Caroll. The room now turns on a back-lit onyx cocktail bar, triangular in plan to echo the shape of the hotel, set among coral reef wallpaper by Adam Ellis Studio, oak, marble and brushed brass.

The skyline runs from St Paul’s to the London Eye, the Shard and the Houses of Parliament. The kitchen serves modern Asian sharing plates, and the bar pours Japanese spirits, sake and shochu beside its cocktails. Resident DJs play South African, Afro, deep and melodic house from Thursday to Saturday.

For a private event the rooftop is taken whole or in part, for 20 to 220 guests, with a dedicated events manager. The terrace hires on its own for up to 100, with lounge seating under a retractable roof and blinds.
