/ About
SUSHISAMBA occupies the 38th and 39th floors of Heron Tower at 110 Bishopsgate, with two outdoor terraces that count among the highest open-air dining spots in Europe. The main restaurant sits beneath a soaring timber lattice hung with greenery and pendant lights, its curved orange banquettes wrapped by floor-to-ceiling glass that frames the Gherkin and the wider City skyline. The cooking blends Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian traditions, from sushi and robata to churrasco and ceviche.
The 39th floor holds the SAMBA ROOM, a darker, more theatrical world of red velvet, an undulating illuminated ceiling and cocktail bars that look out over East London and Canary Wharf. The adjacent private dining room seats up to 30 around a central table suspended from the ceiling, or 50 in a lounge layout, and the SAMBA ROOM bar and dining space combine for up to 150 guests with a private entrance and cloakroom. Outside, the Tree Terrace gathers low orange seating around a circular bar and a sculptural red tree, while the East Terrace opens onto a panorama that runs to the river.
On Friday nights the SAMBA ROOM turns over to Rio After Dark, a late-night programme built around resident DJs that runs the venue past midnight. Open daily until 1.30am, with a sound system and a setting that suit a high-energy private party as readily as a seated dinner.
