Sir Devonshire Square

Sir Hotels' first London address occupies a restored 17th-century textile warehouse on Devonshire Square, a short walk from Liverpool Street. The Amsterdam group Sircle Collection opened it in September 2025 after a long restoration, and the building's origins are left legible throughout: brick arches, exposed steelwork and beamed ceilings, warmed by burl wood, terracotta tiling and planting. Interiors are by Maison 191, and the arrival hall doubles as a gallery for the hotel's art and ceramics.
The event floor is the reason to know it. The Canvas is a genuine blank canvas — 170 square metres of parquet under exposed beams — and it opens into The Glasshouse, a glazed pavilion with a slatted timber roof and full-height windows that reads as a garden room in the middle of the City. Hired together they run to 280 square metres and take 400 standing, and both spill onto a split-level landscaped garden and terrace, an unusual thing to find behind an EC2 façade. A dedicated events team runs the floor, with catering handled in house.
A private members' club, The Cover, and a flagship restaurant are due in a later phase; for now the ground floor turns on the Lobby Bar and an all-day dining room open to the public as well as to guests. Eighty-one bedrooms and suites sit above, which makes it a practical choice for an evening that needs its guests to stay the night.

The Canvas + Glasshouse
PrivateThe two principal event spaces hired together: 280 square metres running from the beamed, parquet-floored Canvas straight into the glazed Glasshouse, with doors onto the garden terrace. The largest bookable space in the building, and the one with a dance floor.
The Canvas
PrivateA 170 square-metre room left deliberately plain — herringbone parquet, exposed timber beams and a bare brick wall — so it can be dressed from scratch. It takes a long table, a seated dinner or a standing reception, and opens through to The Glasshouse.
The Garden
Semi PrivateA split-level garden and terrace of some 310 square metres, planted and screened behind the warehouse, with parasols, benches and low tables. Rare in EC2, and it works as the outdoor half of a Canvas or Glasshouse hire.
The Lobby Bar
Semi PrivateThe fluted terracotta counter in the arrival hall, under brick arches and planting, with boucle armchairs and a fireplace alongside. Available on a semi-private basis for drinks receptions.
The Glasshouse
PrivateA 110 square-metre glazed pavilion under a slatted timber roof, framed in exposed steel and glass on three sides, looking onto the garden. Daylight by afternoon and lantern-like after dark; the most distinctive room in the building.
