/ About
Sexy Fish sits on the corner of Berkeley Square, the most theatrical room in Caprice Holdings' Mayfair portfolio and a fixture of the area's late-night social calendar since it opened in 2015. Martin Brudnizki Design Studio dressed it in mid-century glamour: bronze fish and mermaid sculptures by Frank Gehry and Damien Hirst, hand-painted ceilings, and walls lined with what the venue bills as the world's largest collection of Japanese whisky. The kitchen sends out sushi, sashimi and seafood alongside meat and fish from the Robata grill.
The room that defines it is the curved, illuminated bar at the centre of the restaurant, set beneath a sculptural ceiling installation and framed by aquariums and underwater murals. For private events the venue turns to two spaces: the lower-ground Coral Room, an enclosed dining room built around two of the largest live coral reef tanks in the world over an illuminated amber onyx floor, with its own bar, lift and cloakroom; and the Lounge, a semi-private booth-lined section elevated above the main restaurant. Both can be hired for celebrations or taken alongside an exclusive buy-out of the whole restaurant.
For a DJ-led evening the appeal is the combination of a self-contained private room with its own entrance logistics and a kitchen and bar already built for a crowd that stays late. The venue runs until 1am most nights, and live music can be arranged with management approval, with AV available to hire.
