/ About
Scalini has held its corner of Walton Street since 1988, a Chelsea Italian that locals and a familiar cast of regulars have kept full for more than three decades. The main dining room sits under a glass roof, its walls tiled in blue and white and hung with framed photographs collected over the years, lemon trees threaded through the space. It is a bright, animated room, and its reputation rests on that atmosphere as much as on the kitchen's Italian classics and a wine list that runs past a hundred labels.
Upstairs, a first-floor private dining room and bar seats up to 26 in complete privacy, with its own bar and windows over the street. For larger occasions the restaurant is available for exclusive hire, taking in the ground-floor room and the pavement terrace on Walton Street. Both suit a celebration that wants the energy of a working Chelsea room rather than the hush of a hotel salon.
Open Tuesday to Sunday. Private dining and full restaurant hire are arranged through the events team.
