/ About
Row on 5 is Jason Atherton's flagship on Savile Row, the address that gives it its name. The 15-course tasting menu moves through three distinct spaces across the building, structured as three acts that follow the peak of British produce. Atherton calls the approach Refinement of Work: modern British cooking built on the country's farms, coasts and seasons, with Japanese clarity, Mediterranean lightness and Asian aromatics used to sharpen the native ingredient rather than disguise it.
In the kitchen is executive chef Spencer Metzger, who previously led the team at Row on 45; the drinks are overseen by executive sommelier Roxane Dupuy, and Nicolas Poinsot runs the room as general manager. The restaurant holds two MICHELIN stars, and its measured, ingredient-led cooking has made it one of the harder tables to secure in Mayfair.
For private events the restaurant offers an intimate private dining room, and the full space, including its chef's counter and downstairs dining room, can be taken exclusively. It suits seated dinners and celebrations built around a two-star kitchen; enquiries are handled directly by the restaurant.
