/ About
Richard Corrigan opened Corrigan's Mayfair on Upper Grosvenor Street in 2008, fresh from the Michelin-starred Lindsay House in Soho. The kitchen reads as a portrait of the chef himself: British and Irish cooking built on game, seafood and seasonal produce from trusted suppliers, shaped by his upbringing in rural County Meath. The main dining room sets the tone, with studded leather chairs, white linen and dark wood floors under low pendant light.
Four private dining rooms sit off the restaurant, each with its own character. The Lindsay Room, named after that first Soho restaurant, is the largest: a classically proportioned space with a marble fireplace, wood panelling and career photographs in silver frames, seating up to 24 around a single table. The Chef's Table is a forest-green room hung with antlers and a mallard study, its oval table set beside a glass window onto the kitchen pass. The Kitchen Library seats six on a curved leather banquette a metre from the stoves, walls lined with Corrigan's own cookbooks. Poet's Corner is the semi-private option, curtained from the main room in gold silk and bronze velvet for parties of up to ten.
The whole restaurant can be taken exclusively for up to 80 seated or 100 standing. With in-house menus from Corrigan, a sommelier and canapé service, the rooms suit seated dinners and receptions that run through the evening; the events team arranges menus and timings on enquiry.
