/ About
Ormer Mayfair by Sofian occupies the basement of Flemings, the family-run Georgian hotel on Half Moon Street, and holds one Michelin star under chef Sofian Msetfi, who took the kitchen in 2021 and moved it to a tasting-menu format. The room is dark oak panelling and olive velvet banquettes lit low, a handful of tables set well apart, with covers held to around thirty a night.
The cooking is pan-European built on British produce, much of it grown in the restaurant's own garden in Essex, and Msetfi's Moroccan background surfaces in dishes such as Anjou pigeon with preserved lemon. A sommelier runs the pairings, and the set menus have been the format here since 2023.
Three private dining rooms run off the restaurant: the six-seat Tyburn Suite, the twelve-cover Half Moon Suite, and the oval-tabled Clarges Suite for up to twenty-two. The whole restaurant is available for exclusive hire. It suits a seated dinner and close company rather than a party at scale.
