/ About
The Frescobaldi family has poured Tuscan wine for a thousand years, trading vintages for artworks with Michelangelo and supplying the court of Henry VIII. Ristorante Frescobaldi is the dynasty's first standalone restaurant and bar in Britain, opened on New Burlington Place with the Good Food Society. The dining room is lined in oak panelling, the family's estate and wine names hand-carved into the wood, with painted figures from Italian history looking down over the tables.
Head chef Andrea Longoni cooks Tuscan food shaded by the kitchens of northern Italy and Puglia, matched to a deep list of Frescobaldi estate wines. A cocktail bar sits downstairs, and in warmer months a paved terrace opens onto the quiet mews behind Regent Street, with lanterns and parasols set among the trees.
For private events the main dining room seats up to 80, while the downstairs cocktail bar and private dining area takes 30 seated or 40 standing for a reception; the whole restaurant is available for exclusive hire. The events team builds menus, wine pairings and cocktails around the occasion, which suits a private dinner, a company evening or a milestone celebration.
