QT at Middle Eight

QT is the basement room beneath Middle Eight, the hotel on Great Queen Street in Covent Garden. Middle Eight presents it as a modern reading of the classic speakeasy, built on the legacy of Kingsway Hall, and it keeps its own private entrance at street level.

The room was fitted out for performance. The 200 square metres hold a stage with an in-house sound system, a green room, a private kitchen and a 164-inch retractable screen for screenings. On public nights it runs a programme of its own, with House of Burlesque on Saturdays.

For a private event QT is taken whole, for up to 110 standing or 92 seated at a banquet. The hotel lists launches, fashion shows, cinema nights, receptions and takeovers among the occasions it hosts.
