Origin Kensington

Origin Kensington is the ground-floor restaurant and bar of the Royal Garden Hotel, opened in the autumn of 2022 at the Kensington Gardens end of Kensington High Street. The room is bright and glazed on the park side, so the tables look out over Kensington Gardens.

The kitchen, led by executive chef John Serhal, cooks seasonal British produce sourced from producers across the country. A short run of Origin signature dishes stays on the à la carte while the rest of the menu turns with the season, and afternoon tea and a Sunday roast sit beside it.

For a private occasion the restaurant takes groups of nine or more on set menus written by the executive chef, and the whole room can be taken on exclusive hire, seating 120 or holding 180 for a reception. The hotel's own event floors, the Palace Suite among them, are in the same building for a larger evening.
