NYX Mayfair

Tucked beneath Gaia on Dover Street and reached through a concealed door in the restaurant's souvenir shop, NYX is one of a small number of London venues that genuinely earns the word subterranean — both architecturally and in atmosphere. The space was designed by First Within, whose scheme draws on the Greek myth of Nyx, goddess of the night: deep blues and crimson velvet, brass cocktail tables on twisted stems, shimmering convex mirrors arranged across the walls like a field of dark moons, and alabaster lamps that shift the room between intimate lounge and charged dancefloor as the hours advance. It won the London Design Awards 2025 in the Restaurants and Bars category.

Membership is by application through Fundamental Hospitality Group, which operates sister venues in Monaco, Marbella, and Dubai. The resident DJ programme is built to run a slow arc across the night — conversation and cocktails from opening until midnight, then a dancefloor set that carries through to 4am on weekdays and 5am at weekends. For private hire, the club's table booking service can be arranged directly; the intimate scale and late licence make it well suited to small celebrations where discretion and extended hours matter more than capacity.
