/ About

Angela Hartnett opened Murano on Queen Street in August 2008, originally in partnership with Gordon Ramsay, and bought him out in October 2010. The kitchen has held a Michelin star since January 2009 and kept it ever since. Hartnett's cooking is rooted in her Italian heritage, served in a Mayfair dining room redesigned by Ignite: sage-green seating, pale wood and Murano-glass chandeliers that nod to the restaurant's name.

The one private space sits just off the main room, behind glass doors that can stay open to the restaurant or close for a contained dinner. A panoramic window looks straight into the pass, so the table watches the kitchen at work; a retractable curtain draws across it when the group wants the view shut off. It seats up to twelve banquet-style, and the same space hosts the Chef's Table, where Hartnett and her team cook a bespoke menu with paired wines.

The room reads as a seated-dinner space first, suited to a milestone or a small corporate evening rather than a late party, with the kitchen's Italian menus, a deep wine list and sommelier service run in house. A green-awninged terrace fronts the building on Queen Street for warmer months, and the events team arranges menus and timings on enquiry.
