Middle Eight

Middle Eight occupies the former Kingsway Hall in Covent Garden, a site once known for its orchestral recordings, and carries that musical lineage through its name and its interiors. The hotel holds 180 bedrooms and suites alongside a set of dining and event spaces open to guests and the public.

The draw for events is QT, a basement speakeasy reached by its own entrance at street level. It runs to a stage with a sound system, a green room and private kitchen, and a large retractable screen, and stages live music in the evenings. The room takes around 110 standing or up to 92 seated, and suits launches, screenings and late parties.

Above ground, Sycamore Restaurant & Bar serves contemporary Italian cooking and turns to DJs on selected nights, available for private dinners through to full restaurant takeovers. The Balcony, a semi-private space overlooking Sycamore Bar, works for smaller gatherings and meetings.
