/ About

Mei Ume occupies a panelled ground-floor room inside Ten Trinity Square, the Grade II-listed 1922 building that once housed the Port of London Authority and now holds the Four Seasons at Tower Bridge. AB Concept's first UK project set the room's original Corinthian columns against hand-painted Chinese murals, silk-embroidered panels and plush red leather seating, a restrained collision of City heritage and modern Asian luxury.

The kitchen works across China and Japan in one menu, moving from sushi and sashimi to dim sum and Peking duck. It is a quiet, grown-up room rather than a scene, which is much of its appeal for a private dinner in the Square Mile.

The whole restaurant can be taken exclusively for seated dinners and standing receptions, while the Chairman's Room, screened from the floor by etched bamboo-glass panels, holds a single table of twelve for a more private evening.
