May Fair Kitchen is the restaurant of The May Fair Hotel on Stratton Street, moments from Berkeley Square. It runs two kitchens under one roof. The Japanese side cooks in the izakaya manner, with sashimi, tempura, robata dishes and an omakase. The Italian side makes fresh pasta, Neapolitan pizza from a stone oven and grilled dishes from Puglia and Calabria. The bar keeps a long sake list and a wine list with back vintages of Sassicaia.
The Private Dining Room has its own bar, antique walnut floors, dark wood panelling and a green marble fireplace, with a curtain that divides it in two. It opens onto the May Fair Terrace, a heated courtyard open to the sky in the middle of the hotel, so drinks can start outside and dinner can follow indoors.
The whole restaurant can also be taken exclusively, for a seated dinner or a cocktail and canapé reception. The events team shapes the menus, the layout and the timings to the brief, and the chefs compose a canapé selection for the evening on request.
