Dovetale

Dovetale occupies the ground floor of 1 Hotel Mayfair, with its own entrance on Dover Yard just off Berkeley Street. Tom Sellers opened it in July 2023 as the 1 Hotel group's first London restaurant, and Nick Grieves has led the kitchen as head chef since 2025. The room is built almost entirely from wood: latticework framing, exposed rafters and deep green velvet banquettes, with a run of tall mirrors reflecting the open kitchen and a glass-fronted wine store.

The cooking is European, rooted in British produce and organic, seasonal sourcing, and runs from weekday breakfast and lunch through to dinner, weekend brunch and a Sunday roast. A bar handles cocktails alongside a considered wine list. Off the dining room, a covered terrace sits under a retractable canopy around a hammered copper fireplace, planted with ferns and heated for year-round use.

For private events the restaurant is available on exclusive hire, seating 150 or holding up to 275 for a standing reception, with the terrace taken alongside for al fresco receptions of up to 80. A dedicated events kitchen runs bespoke menus and the team handles production in-house, which suits celebrations, launches and seated private dinners alike.
