/ About
Martino's arrived on Sloane Square in late 2025 as the follow-up to The Dover from restaurateur Martin Kuczmarski, taking over a prominent former fashion-house site at the corner of the Willett Building. The transformation, by Milan's Studio Dragò, channels a 1950s and 60s Italian trattoria: half-height burl-wood panelling, glossy cream plaster, lacquered black detailing and burgundy Venetian terrazzo underfoot, lit by custom Murano glass lamps and candles that shift the room from breakfast brightness to a late, low amber glow.
At the heart of the room sits a curved central bar wrapped in dark timber and brass, bottles ranged above on a suspended cornice. Curved red-velvet banquettes tuck into arched niches under crystal pendant lights, and white-clothed tables run the length of the dining room. It is glamorous without being intimidating, the kind of all-day Italian that draws a Chelsea crowd from morning coffee through to a late negroni, with the charge of a room people genuinely want to be in.
For an intimate private event, the appeal is the atmosphere itself: a single, beautifully resolved room built for warmth and a sense of occasion, plus a terrace for arrivals on warmer evenings. Open seven days from breakfast until late, with dinner running past midnight Monday to Saturday.
