/ About

Haymarket Hotel occupies a Regency terrace on Suffolk Place designed by John Nash, two minutes from Piccadilly Circus and the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Kit Kemp's interiors run the length of the building, from a jungle-wallpapered function room hung with 1970s lucite furniture to a 55-foot indoor swimming pool lit by hundreds of fibre-optic points set into the ceiling.

Four rooms take private hire. The Shooting Gallery, humanised by its de Gournay wallpaper and a set of Oliver Messel prints, and the Swimming Pool & Bar are the hotel's two largest spaces; the pool can be partially or fully covered, turning it into a dance floor or a dining room in its own right. The Nash Room and Rocklin Room, named for the building's architect and for the painter whose work hangs throughout Firmdale's hotels, offer smaller-scale settings for a dinner or a meeting. Brumus, the hotel's own restaurant and bar, runs alongside for daily dining and can be booked into an evening's private-dining slot.

The pool's scale and its covered option suit a party or a launch; each of the other three rooms takes anything from an intimate dinner to a reception for up to 45.
