/ About
Fallow sits on Haymarket at the edge of St James's Market, where chefs Jack Croft and Will Murray turned a run of sold-out residencies into one of the most talked-about openings of its year. The dining room runs long and low-lit beneath a canopy of drying herbs and foraged greenery, with an open kitchen and an eight-seat counter set into a wall of green tile. A separate bar and a wraparound terrace complete the ground-floor space.
The kitchen's reputation rests on a nose-to-tail, root-to-stem approach to British produce, from its much-photographed whole cod's head to house-milled flours and a serious wine and cocktail list. That thinking keeps the room hard to book.
There is no private dining room. Instead the whole restaurant is given over for exclusive hire, seating around 110 across the dining room, counter and bar, with the theatre of the open kitchen at its centre. It suits a launch, a milestone dinner or a company evening. Enquiries go through the restaurant directly.
