/ About
Wild Honey St James occupies a Grade II listed former banking hall on the corner of Pall Mall and Waterloo Place, a short walk from St James's Park and the clubs of St James's. Tall arched windows, tiered globe lighting and deep banquettes give the room its scale, while a marble bar and a portrait-hung wall soften it. Anthony Demetre, the restaurant's chef and co-owner, cooks a seasonal modern European menu built on British produce and French technique, and has held a Michelin star here every year since 2021.
For private events the restaurant offers three settings. The Private Dining Room seats up to sixteen around a single table, lit by the same corner windows onto Waterloo Place and divisible by a curtain into two smaller rooms. The Hive, designed by Jim Hamilton, is a bookshelf-lined room for up to twenty. Taken in full, the dining room and bar seat seventy and hold a hundred and fifty for a reception, with menus written to the occasion and a dedicated events team.
The bar keeps later hours than the kitchen and changes register after dark, its striped floor and low light suited to a drinks reception before or after dinner. It reads as St James's without the formality some of its neighbours keep.
