/ About
Duck & Waffle sits on the fortieth floor of Heron Tower, at the top of 110 Bishopsgate, and trades 24 hours a day, seven days a week — sunrise breakfasts, business lunches, dinner, and the hours after most of the City has gone home. Express lifts reach the summit in under a minute.
Designed by CetraRuddy, the room carries wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows, with the Gherkin, the Tower of London and the Olympic Park below. A reclaimed-wood ceiling runs above patterned tiled floors, a theatrical open kitchen, and an 'inside-out' bar where the bar team works in the middle of the room rather than behind it. The cooking is modern British, built around sharing.
Three spaces let individually, and the whole floor lets exclusively. The Private Dining Room, one of the highest in the country, seats eighteen against the windows; a roped-off section of the bar holds fifty for a standing reception. Hired in full, the restaurant, bar and private dining room take 120 seated or 250 for a reception, with an in-house lighting and AV system and an events team that sources and manages entertainment and production.
