/ About
Dalloway Terrace opened in March 2016 on the side terrace of The Bloomsbury, the Doyle Collection hotel on Great Russell Street. It takes its name and its mood from Virginia Woolf and Mrs Dalloway, a nod to the literary circle that gave the neighbourhood its reputation, and it is laid out as a botanical English garden under a retractable roof.
The room changes with the seasons. Each one brings a new floral installation across the walls, and heaters and the covered roof keep the terrace in use through winter before it opens up for al fresco dining in spring and summer. The kitchen cooks modern European food from British ingredients for lunch and dinner, alongside cocktails, wine and a popular afternoon tea.
The terrace takes semi-private and full hires, with a published maximum of 24 seated guests. It suits a long-table dinner, a bridal or baby shower, a birthday lunch or a press or product launch. Small floral table arrangements come with a private booking, and larger installations can be arranged in advance. Enquiries go through the hotel's events team.
