/ About
DakaDaka is the London debut of Berkeley Square Hospitality, the venture from Giorgi Mindiashvili and Mitz Vora, who built The Hoxton hotels together at Ennismore before striking out on their own. It took the Heddon Street site that had passed through Manteca, Fallow and Sarap, and opened in January 2026 with a menu built around an open fire: khinkali dumplings, stuffed kubdari flatbreads and skewers cooked over charcoal and a wood-burning hearth, alongside a wine list of more than a hundred Georgian natural wines and a run of chacha-based cocktails.
The restaurant spans two floors. Upstairs is the main dining room, its central hearth and khinkali cauldrons in full view of the room, tables in kilim-patterned upholstery gathered around a red-columned bar. Downstairs is quieter and candlelit: an intimate private dining room behind dark wood panelling, and a separate bar backed by a wall of vinyl and stocked bottles, built as much for a private event as for a pre-dinner drink.
Both floors can be taken together for a full buyout or hired separately for a semi-exclusive booking, with the lower level's own bar and sound system suited to a DJ-led evening. A street-side terrace by the entrance adds an outdoor option. Georgian hospitality runs to the small touches rather than the fittings, and a few months in, DakaDaka already carries the easy authority of a restaurant that has traded for years.
