/ About
COYA opened on Piccadilly in November 2012 and remains one of Mayfair's most atmospheric Latin American addresses, a low-lit, layered tribute to Peru that runs from a brass-and-malachite Pisco Bar through to a sprawling main dining room and a tucked-away members' club. The interiors are dense with character: studded antique doors, sepia portraits, intricate ironwork, hand-painted tilework and authentic Peruvian artefacts, all warmed by candlelight and pendant lamps. Two open kitchens, the ceviche counter and the robata grill, keep the main floor theatrical.
The Pisco Lounge on the lower floor is where COYA turns into a party. Home to one of London's most extensive pisco libraries, it has a resident DJ programme and a dance floor, with the night building from pre-dinner cocktails into late-evening dancing without guests ever needing to move on. That makes it a natural fit for an intimate DJ-led celebration: an enclosed, sound-controlled basement room with an in-house sound system and bar, designed for music.
Upstairs, the spaces flex from the 25-cover Andean Room and the 60-seat Illapa Room beside the main dining floor, to a 12-seat Private Dining Room finished in antique Incan gilding. Across Piccadilly sits the members' club, with its crystal chandelier, marble-topped bar and grand fireplace, plus a planted outdoor patio for warmer-weather gatherings. A dedicated events team handles bespoke menus, decor and entertainment. External music and outside DJs are not permitted, so any performance runs through the house setup.
