/ About

Chateau Denmark occupies sixteen buildings along Denmark Street, London's old Tin Pan Alley, where the Rolling Stones cut their debut album and the Sex Pistols lived and rehearsed. Opened in April 2022 by Carrie Wicks' CAW Ventures, with interiors by Taylor Howes, it reworks that rock heritage into a maximalist hotel of 55 session rooms and apartments set across listed Georgian townhouses — punk, vintage gothic and psychedelia, one distinct style per room.

At its heart on Denmark Street is Thirteen, a baroque cocktail bar of blue velvet booths and a gilded back bar over checkerboard floors, serving cocktails and Japanese-inspired small plates with resident DJs into the night. Beneath it, reached by its own entrance on Flitcroft Street, dial8 is a discreet basement room with a serious sound system, licensed for private hire until 3am at weekends. A heritage meeting room in the St Giles village and a top-floor space above the former Regent Sounds studio, with views along Denmark Street and across the West End rooftops, round out the hire options.

The spaces suit launches, press days and after-parties as readily as private dinners. dial8's late licence and sound system make it the natural room for a DJ-led night, while Thirteen brings a full bar and a summer terrace for a reception of up to ninety. Several signature apartments, among them the I Am Anarchy mews where the Sex Pistols recorded, can be taken for junkets and intimate gatherings.
