Jenna Ortega returned as Wednesday Addams at the global premiere of the series’ second season, staged under the dome of Central Hall in Westminster.

Jenna Ortega led the global premiere of the second season of Wednesday at Methodist Central Hall Westminster in Westminster on Wednesday 30 July 2025. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, who play Morticia and Gomez Addams, joined her on the purple carpet.

Born in California in 2002, of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, Ortega began acting professionally at nine. She played the younger Jane in Jane the Virgin and led the Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle.

Scream, X and Scream VI took her into horror. Wednesday brought her nominations at the Golden Globes, the Emmys and the Screen Actors Guild awards, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice followed in 2024.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created the series from Charles Addams’s characters. Tim Burton directed four episodes of each season and produced. The first season became the second most-watched English-language series in Netflix’s history within three weeks and won four Emmys.

The premiere came a week before the first part of the new season reached Netflix on 6 August, with the second following on 3 September. Ortega also served as an executive producer on it.

Joanna Lumley and Billie Piper were among the new cast.
