David Balda’s Manipulation, a European conspiracy thriller with James Faulkner and Heino Ferch, is listed for a UK premiere in London ahead of its November release.

Manipulation, the Czech director David Balda’s conspiracy thriller, is listed for its UK premiere in London on Monday 26 October 2026, at a venue to be confirmed. James Faulkner leads the British side of an international cast.

Balda released his debut feature, Narušitel (Intruder), in Czech cinemas in 2019 at the age of eighteen, and it went on to Netflix. Manipulation is his first international film. He directed, co-produced and shot it, and wrote it with Markéta Hrubešová and Vladimir Koubelec.

Faulkner was born in Hampstead in 1948. He played Randyll Tarly in Game of Thrones and Uncle Geoffrey in the Bridget Jones films.

The story follows Matteo, son of the Master’s right-hand man inside a secret elite organisation. He wants out, and turns to an investigative journalist to expose its reach.

The film had its world premiere in Rome on 5 May and opened in Italy and Germany. Blue-Eyes Film & Distribution releases it in British and Irish cinemas on Friday 6 November.

Heino Ferch, Albert Speer in Downfall, plays Father Vitus, and Féodor Atkine of Ronin joins Paweł Ławrynowicz as the Master.
