Aaron Sorkin brought The Social Reckoning, his companion piece to The Social Network about the Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen, to Curzon Mayfair with Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White.
Aaron Sorkin brought The Social Reckoning, his return to the story of Facebook, to Curzon Mayfair in Mayfair for its London premiere on Tuesday 29 September 2026. Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White joined him.
Sorkin was born in Manhattan in 1961 and spent much of the 1980s as a struggling actor. Bartending at Broadway’s Palace Theatre, he drafted A Few Good Men on cocktail napkins. The play reached Broadway in 1989 and the screen three years later.
The West Wing and The Newsroom followed on television, and his screenplay for The Social Network won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. He began directing with Molly’s Game, then made The Trial of the Chicago 7.
In the new film Madison plays Frances Haugen, the Facebook engineer who leaked thousands of the company’s internal documents in 2021. Jeremy Strong plays Mark Zuckerberg. Sony Pictures released the film in British cinemas on 9 October.
Madison was born in Los Angeles in 1999 and won the Academy Award and the BAFTA for Best Actress for Sean Baker’s Anora. White plays Jeff Horwitz, the newspaper reporter whose help Haugen enlisted.
