The Fantastic Four: First Steps: UK Fan Premiere

Thursday, 10 July 2025 BFI IMAX · South Bank

Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn brought Marvel’s First Family to the BFI IMAX, with the film’s musical suite premiered in Hyde Park the same evening.

Marvel Studios held the UK fan premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps at the BFI IMAX on the South Bank on Thursday 10 July 2025. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn led the cast.

Pascal, who played Reed Richards, was born in Santiago in 1975. He trained at New York University. Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones and Javier Peña in Narcos made his name before The Mandalorian and The Last of Us.

Kirby, who played Sue Storm, won a BAFTA as Princess Margaret in The Crown and the Volpi Cup for Pieces of a Woman. Quinn played Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach played Ben Grimm.

Matt Shakman directed and Kevin Feige produced the film, set in a retro-futuristic world of the 1960s. It was the first Marvel Studios picture about the family since Disney acquired the screen rights from 20th Century Fox.

The evening carried a streamed link-up with BST Hyde Park. There the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra gave the world premiere of the film’s musical suite, introduced by its composer, Michael Giacchino.

Julia Garner and Ralph Ineson joined the cast on the carpet.
