The Boodles 2026

23 – 27 June 2026 Stoke Park · Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire

The Boodles, begun in 2002 as match practice before Wimbledon, played in scorching heat at Stoke Park in 2026, with Arthur Fils returning from injury.

Stoke Park in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, held The Boodles from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 June 2026, the week before Wimbledon, under a scorching sun.

Patricio Apey, a sports agent, started the exhibition in 2002 with the jeweller Boodles. His players needed competitive matches on grass when the courts at the All England Club were crowded with practice. Each player is guaranteed at least three matches over the five days.

Agassi, Sampras, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray are among the names it has drawn. After three lost summers, two to the pandemic and one to renovation at the club, it came back in 2023.

The setting is one of the oldest country clubs in Britain. The tennis sat inside a garden party of champagne, scones and strawberries around its stadium court.

Arthur Fils returned from injury on the first day, beating fellow debutant Jakub Mensik 10-8 in a deciding match tie-break. Andrey Rublev came from a set down to beat Alexander Shevchenko.

Thanasi Kokkinakis, also back on grass after two years, beat Sebastian Baez and then his friend Rublev. On the second day Tommy Paul, a finalist at Queen’s the Sunday before, beat Fils in straight sets.
