Supergirl: UK Fan Premiere

Thursday, 18 June 2026 Cineworld Leicester Square · West End

Milly Alcock and Jason Momoa brought the DC Universe’s Supergirl to Leicester Square for a fan premiere, four days before the film’s premiere in Brooklyn.

Milly Alcock and Jason Momoa met fans at Cineworld Leicester Square on Thursday 18 June 2026 at the UK fan premiere of Supergirl. It came four days before the film’s premiere in Brooklyn.

Alcock plays Kara Zor-El. Born in Sydney in 2000, she played the young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the first season of House of the Dragon in 2022. James Gunn cast her as Supergirl in 2024, and she first wore the cape at the end of his Superman.

Momoa, who plays the bounty hunter Lobo, was born in Honolulu in 1979 and raised in Iowa. He became known as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones and then as Aquaman.

Supergirl is the second film of the DC Universe, the reboot run by Gunn and Peter Safran. Craig Gillespie directed it from Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Kara crosses the galaxy to hunt the villain who harmed her dog, Krypto.

The film was shot at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, in London and in Scotland in 2025, so the fan premiere brought it back to the country where it was made.

Matthias Schoenaerts, who plays the villain, joined them with Eve Ridley and the director.
