Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein brought Office Romance, the Netflix romantic comedy Goldstein wrote with her in mind, to BFI Southbank for its UK premiere.
Netflix held the UK premiere of Office Romance, a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, at BFI Southbank on the South Bank on Wednesday 3 June 2026. The film reached the service worldwide two days later.
Lopez began as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color before Selena and Out of Sight made her a leading actress. In 2001 she became the first woman to hold the number-one film and album in the United States at once.
Goldstein, born in Sutton in 1980, studied film at Warwick and won two Emmys as Roy Kent in Ted Lasso.
He wrote Office Romance with his Ted Lasso collaborator Joe Kelly, an idea that began on a train between the show’s Manchester set and London. He sent it to Lopez with a note saying she was the only name on their list.
Lopez plays Jackie Cruz, chief executive of airCruz Airlines and the enforcer of its ban on office relationships. Goldstein plays Daniel Blanchflower, the new company lawyer who tests it. For the London evening, Lopez wore Richard Quinn.
