Jennifer Lawrence joined Lynne Ramsay for the UK premiere of Die My Love, Ramsay's portrait of a young mother coming apart in rural Montana, as a London Film Festival gala.
Jennifer Lawrence came to the Royal Festival Hall on Friday 17 October 2025 for the UK premiere of Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love, a Headline Gala of the 69th BFI London Film Festival. Ramsay joined her on the carpet.
Lawrence was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1990 and began with guest roles on television as a teenager before joining the cast of The Bill Engvall Show. Her breakthrough came as a poverty-stricken teenager in Winter’s Bone, which brought her first Academy Award nomination, and Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games and Mystique in the X-Men films made her an international star. Silver Linings Playbook won her the Academy Award for Best Actress at twenty-two, the second-youngest winner in the category, and she added a BAFTA for American Hustle. She co-produced her recent films, Die My Love among them, and founded the production company Excellent Cadaver in 2018.
Ramsay wrote the screenplay with Enda Walsh and Alice Birch from Ariana Harwicz’s 2012 novel. Lawrence plays Grace, a writer and new mother whose postpartum depression unravels her marriage to Jackson, played by Robert Pattinson, in a remote house in rural Montana. LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte and Sissy Spacek complete the cast.
The film had competed for the Palme d’Or at Cannes in May, and MUBI released it in British and Irish cinemas on 7 November.
