Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James brought Fuze, David Mackenzie’s heist thriller, to its London premiere at the Odeon Luxe West End on Thursday 26 March 2026. The film opened in Britain eight days later.
Taylor-Johnson, born in High Wycombe in 1990, worked as a child actor before his breakthrough as the young John Lennon in Nowhere Boy in 2009. The title role in Kick-Ass followed, and he won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for Nocturnal Animals. Tenet, Bullet Train and The Fall Guy came after.
Mackenzie, a Scot who co-founded the Glasgow company Sigma Films, made Young Adam, Starred Up, Hell or High Water and Outlaw King.
Fuze, written by Ben Hopkins, is a London film. It begins with an unexploded bomb found on a building site in Paddington. As the police clear the streets towards Hyde Park, a crew uses the evacuation as cover to rob a bank on Edgware Road.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Sam Worthington are also in the cast. Mbatha-Raw, Saffron Hocking and Elham Ehsas joined Mackenzie and his two leads on the carpet. The film had first been shown as a gala at Toronto in September 2025.
