The Decorative Fair, founded in 1985, filled Battersea Park’s tented halls for six days in autumn 2025 with more than 130 dealers in antiques, design and art.
The Decorative Fair held its autumn edition at Evolution London in Battersea Park from Tuesday 30 September to Sunday 5 October 2025. More than 130 dealers in antiques, design and art took stands.
The Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair was founded in 1985 by the family that still owns it. Its premise was that the antiques trade and the interior design trade should sell to the same buyer in the same room.
It was the first event on the Battersea Park site that became Evolution London, held in two canvas marquees in the late 1990s. Its exhibitors are specialist dealers, and its dateline runs from the 1700s to the 1970s, so period furniture and twentieth-century design share one floor.
The fair runs three editions a year, with winter in January and spring in May. The autumn fair is the one that falls in London’s design season, and its buyers come from the decorating trade and from private collecting.
They showed furniture, lighting, textiles, paintings, prints, sculpture and decorative objects. Tribal Art London, a fair of original tribal and ethnographic art and artefacts, took the mezzanine for the same six days.
