James Cameron and Billie Eilish presented their 3D concert film of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour at its UK premiere in Leicester Square.
James Cameron and Billie Eilish presented their concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Tuesday 28 April 2026, eight days before its Los Angeles premiere.
Cameron was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, in 1954 and moved to California at seventeen. His short Xenogenesis, in 1978, led to The Terminator, then Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2 and True Lies. Titanic won him the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Film Editing, and with Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water it stands among the five highest-grossing films ever made. He is the second highest-grossing director of all time.
Eilish, born in Los Angeles in 2001, first drew notice in 2015 with Ocean Eyes, written and produced by her brother, Finneas O’Connell. Her first album topped the charts in Britain and America in 2019, and she has won two Academy Awards for Best Original Song, for What Was I Made For? and No Time to Die. The two directed the film together. It records the Manchester dates of her 2025 tour for Hit Me Hard and Soft, an album released in May 2024 without any advance singles that drew on relationships, identity and the pressures of fame, and it is her third concert film.
Paramount released it in cinemas on 8 May.
