Ballerina: World Premiere

Thursday, 22 May 2025 Cineworld Leicester Square · West End

Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves opened Ballerina, Len Wiseman’s spin-off from the John Wick series, at its world premiere in Leicester Square.

Ana de Armas led the world premiere of From the World of John Wick: Ballerina at Cineworld Leicester Square in the West End on Thursday 22 May 2025. Keanu Reeves and the director Len Wiseman joined her.

Reeves was born in Beirut in 1964 and raised in Toronto. Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure gave him his break, and Point Break and Speed made him an action lead. The Matrix followed in 1999.

John Wick began in 2014 and has run through four films. Ballerina returns Reeves to the character that revived his career.

Wiseman directed from a screenplay by Shay Hatten, with Chad Stahelski, director of the Wick films, as a producer. De Armas plays Eve Macarro, a ballerina trained in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma, who hunts her father’s killers. The story sits between the third and fourth Wick films.

De Armas introduced the screening herself, crediting Reeves’s character as the reason the film exists. The premiere came two weeks before the film’s American release.

Ian McShane, Norman Reedus and Catalina Sandino Moreno joined them on the carpet.
