Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick brought Another Simple Favour, Paul Feig’s Capri-set sequel to A Simple Favour, to a special screening at the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho.
Another Simple Favour, Paul Feig’s sequel to his 2018 comedy thriller, had a special screening at the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho on Tuesday 15 April 2025. Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, its two leads, attended with Henry Golding.
Lively, the daughter of the actor Ernie Lively, made her screen debut at ten in a film her father directed. Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl made her famous, and It Ends with Us followed.
Kendrick began on Broadway at twelve in High Society, which brought a Tony nomination. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Up in the Air before the Pitch Perfect films, and in 2023 she directed her first feature, Woman of the Hour.
The sequel finds Kendrick’s Stephanie Smothers, now a true-crime vlogger, as maid of honour at Emily Nelson’s wedding to a wealthy Italian on Capri. A murder follows the vows. It was shot on Capri and at Hadrian’s Villa near Tivoli in 2024.
Golding returned as Sean, Emily’s former husband, and Allison Janney joined the cast. The film had its world premiere at South by Southwest on 7 March, and Prime Video released it worldwide on 1 May.
