In Transit: Greek Artists Abroad

The Hellenic Centre gathered nine Greek artists who live and make their work outside Greece for what its curators called a sculptural dialogue — one shaped by the lived reality of standing between places and identities. Rather than depict migration, the works embodied it, through shifting materials and unsettled forms in which memory, displacement, humour and adaptation collide. Irini Bachlitzanaki, Byron Kalomamas, Amanda Kyritsopoulou, Anna Lytridou, Theodoris Papandreopoulos, Eleni Papazoglou, Eleni Tomadaki, Costas Xanthis and Eleni Zervou showed together, with Zervou’s Cerberus Milk (2023) taking the exhibition’s title image. An opening reception on 3 June preceded a free run in Marylebone through to 26 June, open weekdays from eleven until five.
